Dr. Jason Karampatsos

Pastor Jason Karampatsos was elected by the membership of New Life Assembly of God in August of 2015 to serve as their new Lead Pastor. He comes to New Life having served at Assembly of God churches in the Washington DC metro area, Central New Jersey, and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Pastor Jason and his wife, Jennifer have been married for over 20 years and have three amazing children that love being an active part of church ministry. They met while in children’s church themselves at the young age of 4 and 5 years old. They grew up in the church together and went off to Valley Forge Christian College and walked the line together in the spring of 2000. Pastor Jason went on to earn his Masters and PhD in Pastoral Counseling from Loyola University Maryland, examining the relationship between spirituality and marital satisfaction.

Pastor Jason and his family now make their home in Janesville and look forward to building upon the solid foundation of a healthy church with a rich history in the community.

He is also the co-founder of the City of Refuge Counseling Network, providing counseling to pastors, missionaries, evangelists, and their families. He is an active speaker for marriage retreats and workshops, and speaks to pastors and churches across the country on how to have healthy relationships in the church and in ministry. In 2013 he was honored by Valley Forge Christian College as an Outstanding Alumni for his work in ministry, having also been the Baccalaureate Speaker for the class of 2000.

Pastor Jason is an active writer with over 10,000 subscribers to his bi-weekly newsletter for Safe Harbor Christian Counseling, addressing relationship issues from a Christian perspective. You can learn more or follow his blog. Better yet, you can find him every Sunday morning in the front row of New Life Assembly where his prayer is that you will feel welcomed, and that you will have an opportunity to grow in your relationship with God and experience His presence.
