“As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease” (Genesis 8:22, NIV).
These were the Lord’s words to Noah that we looked at last week as we began our four-part series on Seasons. Each season is unique, and as such we need to recognize the season that we are in and what is being asked of us by God in life’s current season. Just as we celebrated the exciting new life in spring time last week, in this message we will examine the powerful seasons of growth the summer is intended to bring.
Just as one can examine the cross section of a tree and revisit the tree’s history, so can one examine the summers past and recall strong seasons of growth as well as missed opportunities to build upon what God has already done in our lives.
